A quick moving short wave rotating around the large upper low to our north will drag a cold front through with associated light precipitation on Friday. Any precipitation during the day Friday will be a rain snow mix, but will change to snow Friday Night. 12z GFS brings low pressure north along the front, but far enough east to keep the region dry considering precip remains frontal in nature. QPF varies a little in placement between models, but generally thinking around .2" which would suggest a coating to an inch of snow possible Friday night.
